today, i was visiting a forum. some kid got banned there, and he continues to come back and post through the Guest forum that they have there. think about this for a minute, on how humans react to both authority and to something that they care about, and how people like to compete.
one day, on a bus, a lady whose name I forgot went on a bus where only white people could go on way back to a time that we werent even born. when the cops said she couldnt sit there, she basically said eff off, Im sitting here. technically she was banned from the bus itself, but she went on it anyway cuz she had to get where she wanted to go.
in the same manner, rules and regulations have been made in our public schools that say if you're disrespectful to a teacher or the principal, you'll be in big trouble. but think about it, WHY would they point out the principal/"administrative staff" in particular? along with obviously doing it to keep things in check, it's also possible that they pointed them out because they knew that we as humans are competitive against authority. the same goes with animals in nature, certain spider species are known to hatch from their eggs, and attempt eating their own mother! and sometimes theyre successful.
this illustrates exactly how competitive we people are as humans. Wi-fi battles and pokemon in general would be nothing if we didn't enjoy raising a small Pokemon and take hours, usually even days to get a single Pokemon whose sole purpose is to fight with all their endurance in an online battle for the trainers enjoyment, this is why Nintendo made such things. we humans are the most competitive, and somewhat adamant-natured (no pun intended) species alive today. We go to war because we're bored, we battle online and train monsters for days on end just to compete against each other, and what would be a movie without some kind of huge globally impacting conflict for the whole world's fate as we know it? every franchise thing that is used to get companies money, such as Sonic the Hedgehog, star wars, Transformers, Naruto, Pokemon of course, even something as simple as a card-making company, they all know that we enjoy fun in the form of competing, and this is how they thrive.
if you think long and hard about this, the idea that we humans have eventually formed our OWN world and lifestyle as we currently know it today, has much more meaning than how it is simply perceived, and has much more to it than some hairy caveman guy inventing a wheel. the wheel paved the way to more inventions and better discoveries such as fire because the guy who discovered fire wanted to BE someone, and try and be as good, or better, as the caveman guy who invented the wheel itself. our competitive natures have pushed us to create fantastic things, such as what you are looking at now.
